FAQ

  • How much does an appointment cost?
The Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommends fees of $267 for 45-50 minute sessions. We charge considerably less than this, however, the price varies depending on which therapist you see. If your visit to us is under NDIS, workcover, victims services, DVA, or are from another agency, this rate will vary as the rates are fixed by external organisations.
  • How long will my appointment be?
Appointments are 50 minutes long but we ask that for your first appointment, you arrive at least 10 minutes early so you can fill out the necessary paperwork. If you are getting an assessment/report done, the session will be longer. You'll be informed how long each assessment session will be when you make the booking.
  • Do you bulk-bill?
No, we are not a bulk billing service. However, reduced fees can be negotiated for low income earners and concession card holders.
  • How do I get a Medicare rebate?
If you visit your GP, ask for a medicare referral under the 'better access to mental health care' scheme. Your GP will conduct an assessment and provide you with a referral if you are eligible. You can then contact our office to make your appointment.
  • Am I entitled to a rebate from my private health insurance?
This depends on which therapist you see, your level of cover, what extras you have, and who you are covered with. You'll also speak to your private health insurance company about what rebates you are entitled to.
  • Can I claim my Medicare rebate on the spot?
No you can't. After you pay for your appointment, we will issue you with an invoice. You can either upload the invoice to MyGOV or take it to a Medicare office to claim your rebate.
  • Can I pay cash for my appointment?
We only accept EFTPOS as a form of payment. We do not accept cheque, cash, bank transfer, or American Express. All consultation fees must be paid at the start of your appointment.
  • Are there any cancellation fees?
Yes, there are cancellation fees for missed appointments and late notice cancellations. Please ask one of our team for more information.
  • Where can I find you?
